One good deed deserves an offer, so here’s five free books

When you are involved in starting up a small business, it can be a tough, sometimes lonely existence. It’s hard not to sometimes feel that your hard work is wasted and will never get the recognition you hope it deserves.

So I was delighted and slightly surprised recently when two of our books were given very positive reviews by The Daily Telegraph. Both Maestros - Original obituaries of 101 of the world's greatest classical composers and Explorers - Eyewitness accounts of daring adventurers were given five-star ratings.

The reviews - across two pages of the Saturday paper’s Culture section - can be found online at the Telegraph’s website here. The reviewer, the extremely respected author and journalist Simon Heffer, described Maestros as “a highly stimulating book” that “delivers the first draft of musical history”. He went on to praise Explorers for being filled with adventure stories packed “with superb descriptive writing”.

The reviews have sparked a good deal of interest, and we’ve had requests for copies of the books - particularly Maestros - from individuals and independent bookshops up and down the country, and even from as far away as Montreal.

So, in celebration of the Telegraph recognising our efforts, and in the spirit of one good deed deserves another, we’ve decided to do two things for our customers. We’re reducing the cost of Explorers (down to £4.99 from £6.99 as an ebook, and to £8.99 from £12.99 in print), and we’re going to give away five free paperback copies of Maestros. To have a chance of winning one of the books, all you need to do is sign up for our occasional newsletter at this link here by midnight on Thursday, April 18. You’ll then automatically be entered into into a free prize draw to select the five lucky winners.

The other piece of good news is that you can now buy our books at our website here, and not just at Amazon (or, increasingly, via your local bookshop).
