Richard Ellis

Richard is the co-founder and managing director of Blue Magpie Books. He has been a journalist for more than 40 years, working as a reporter, foreign correspondent and editor with various national news outlets, including The Sunday Times, The Sunday Telegraph and Sky News. His most recent position was as Publisher at Telegraph Media Group in London, which he left in 2018 to start Blue Magpie Books.

He is passionate about several things: unearthing and reviving great stories that deserve to be read again; Wolverhampton Wanderers football club; German Short-haired Pointers; his five children; and his fellow Blue Magpie co-founder, whom he married in 2006. Jacqueline Fuller

Jacqueline is the co-founder and editorial director of Blue Magpie Books. She has been a journalist for 30 years, and has worked as a senior news and features executive on newspapers such as The Independent and the i, and The Sunday Telegraph. In between commissioning and editing books, she is mother to three children, a German Short-haired Pointer called Kaspar, two cats, seven Cream Legbars and a bantam hen.
